"I have been skateboarding since I was eight years old, ever since my grandparents gave me a toy skateboard with Tomb Raider printed on the bottom. Between the ages of 10 and 15, I would spend every second of my free time skateboarding, with the sport giving me an outlet for me to escape the problems I was having at home and school, and be part of the amazing community that provided role models to help guide me through my struggles."

Since this time, Marcus has served in the armed forces for five years, worked as a tour guide living abroad in Iceland and taught multiple disciplines such as skateboarding, scuba diving, snorkelling, physical training and footvolley. He has coached skateboarders as young as four years old and as old as 60.
